FamFin Privacy Policy

The short version: FamFin does not collect, store, or share any of your personal or financial data. Everything stays on your device.

Data Storage

All data you enter into FamFin — including accounts, transactions, budgets, and categories — is stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device.

Data Collection

FamFin does not collect any data whatsoever. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No financial data is transmitted
No analytics or tracking is used
No cookies are used
No third-party services are integrated
No advertising is displayed

Network Access

FamFin does not connect to the internet. The app functions entirely offline.

Data Export

FamFin includes an optional data export feature that lets you create a JSON backup of your data. This export is initiated entirely by you and uses the iOS share sheet. The exported file is handled by your device's sharing system — FamFin has no visibility into where you send it.

Third Parties

FamFin does not share data with any third parties because it does not have access to any of your data beyond what is stored locally on your device.

Children's Privacy

FamFin does not collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted here. Since FamFin does not collect data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
